WHAT IS BAPTISM?
Baptism is a public declaration that you have put your faith in Jesus and are choosing to follow Him.
Going under the water represents leaving your old life behind, and coming out of the water represents the new life you have in Christ.
Baptism doesn’t save you. We are saved by God’s grace through faith in Jesus. Baptism is an act of obedience that publicly shows what Jesus has already done in your life.
WHO SHOULD BE BAPTIZED?
If you have personally trusted in Jesus Christ for salvation and are following Him, baptism is your next step.
You don’t need to have everything figured out. You don’t need to know the whole Bible, have a perfect past, or have been following Jesus for a certain amount of time.
Baptism is for those who have placed their faith in Jesus and want to publicly identify themselves as His followers.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
Before you’re baptized, we’ll walk through what the Bible teaches about baptism, answer your questions, and make sure you understand the decision you’re making.
That’s why we ask everyone interested in baptism to attend a Baptism Class before being baptized.
We’ll explain everything along the way, so you won’t have to figure it out on your own.
